About MATRIX

is now

Thank you for your interest in our competitive teams!

Matrix recently merged with AYSO United, and is a division of AYSO meant for players who have a strong command of motor control and who are ready to take their soccer skill, and level of play, up a notch.

Our program runs year-round, but tryouts are held twice a year (Spring and late Summer if spaces are still available).  Teams are divided by gender and by age, and they participate in inter-league play as well as several tournaments throughout the year, with a majority of the tournaments taking place between January and May.

Currently,AYSO United teams are available for Boys born between 2012 and 2017, and for Girls born between 2015 and 2017.  After tryouts are finished, selected players will be sent an invitation to register and will be able to complete the sign up process.

For more information you can visit aysounited.org.

If you're interested in more information including costs and payment plans, reach out to Head Matrix Coach John Anderson at [email protected].

We're also always interested in adding to our coaching staff!  If you might be interested in joining us, you can email Coach Anderson above, or email our Regional Commissioner at [email protected]

The Matrix Philosophy

At Matrix Soccer Club, we believe in developing technically sound, physically fit, and mentally tough players who are prepared for the challenges of competitive soccer. Our coaching philosophy is centered around a commitment to continuous improvement and a positive team culture that prioritizes effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Our players will be challenged to improve their skills and game understanding both at practice and away from the field. We will emphasize the importance of giving 100% effort in everything they do, whether it's training, games, or their personal lives. Our players will also be encouraged to approach the game with a growth mindset, to embrace challenges, and to learn from mistakes.

Our coaches will guide our players in a positive and enthusiastic manner, providing individualized feedback and support to help them reach their full potential. We will be lifelong learners of the game, constantly seeking out new ideas and strategies to improve our coaching and better serve our players.

Our Matrix parents will play an important role in supporting their children's development by providing positive reinforcement and emphasizing the importance of effort over results. We will encourage our players to take ownership of their own learning by setting goals and tracking their progress. Our parents will also give players the responsibility to prepare their own kit bag and encourage them to be responsible for their own learning.

We will prioritize player safety and well-being by maintaining high standards of player health, fitness, and equipment. Our players will be expected to attend all training sessions and games fully prepared and ahead of time. We will also emphasize the importance of resilience and perseverance, reminding our players that development is a journey that requires hard work and dedication.

Above all, we want our players to play with a smile on their face and to enjoy the game of soccer. We believe that by prioritizing their overall development and creating a positive and supportive team environment, our players will be prepared for success both on and off the field.
