Dear Kearny Mesa (Region 780) Members,
We hope this message finds you well. As we continue our mission to provide a positive and enriching soccer experience for our youth, we are reaching out to inform you of an exciting leadership opportunity within your region.
We are now opening the nomination period for the position of Regional Commissioner. The Regional Commissioner plays a vital role in managing and guiding your region, ensuring that all AYSO programs run smoothly and that we continue to uphold the values and standards of AYSO.
Key Responsibilities of the Regional Commissioner:
- Provide leadership and direction for the Regional Board and volunteers.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all Regional programs and activities.
- Develop strategies to increase player and volunteer participation.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and safety standards.
- Manage the Regional budget and oversee fundraising efforts.
- Communicate effectively with parents, players, and volunteers.
- Build and maintain relationships within the community to promote our Region.
Nomination Process:
- Nomination Period: 11/30/2024 to 12/6/2024
- Eligibility: Any member in good standing within your Region may be nominated. Preferred AYSO volunteer experience, Board position would be a positive.
- How to Nominate: Submit nominations via email to Jessica Thibedeau, Chair of the Nomination Committee at [email protected].
- Nomination Requirements: Please include the nominee's name, contact information, and a brief statement of why they would be an excellent fit for the role.
Selection Process:
- All nominations will be reviewed by the Nomination Committee.
- Shortlisted candidates will be vetted/interview by the Nomination Committee.
- The final selection will be made through a voting process by the eligible-voting Regional Board members and overseen by the Area Director.
We encourage all members to consider nominating themselves or others who have the passion and dedication to leady our region. Your participation in this process is crucial to ensuring we select a strong and capable leader who will help your Region thrive.
